Peter Stormare – a swedish actor who actually grew up in a village very close to the village where I grew up in northern Sweden – plays the character Uli Kunkel in both these films. In Big Lebowski Kunkel is the leader of a gang of german nihilists that are the alledged kidnappers of Bunny, the protagonist Lebowski’s young trophee wife (or are they actually her friends…?).
